At this time, we HIGHLY recommend that you not leave Westminster Village premises. The more contact you have outside of the building, the more likely you are to contract the Coronavirus. Due to the highly contagious nature of this virus, we are implementing new procedures in an attempt to protect all residents and staff. If you do leave, you may NOT enter the building with your key through your respective doors; you MUST re-enter the building through the MAIN ENTRANCE.
A Coronavirus Screening Form will need to be completed. If you remain in the facility, a “one-time” screen form is sufficient-(more information to follow); with self-monitoring and staff monitoring of your health status, but if you choose to leave the premises for any reason, a new screening form will need to be completed each time. Temperature and respiratory status must be obtained and documented on the screening form provided. We will be monitoring for fever, cough, shortness of breath and sore throat. Please self-monitor your health status on a daily basis; update your nurse or physician with any concerns or changes.
*We are providing transportation for Medically Essential Appointments ONLY.

*It is not recommended that visits be made to the Health Center for your protection as well as theirs.
*If you have a paid (essential) caregiver that has been approved by Administration to
be in the building, they must not travel and visit throughout the building unnecessarily.
*If your laundry is processed outside of the building, a system has been put into place. You will be contacted individually related to this process.
*Our community Chaplain will not be available. He will be on a leave of absence.
*Wellness Checks are available in the Supportive Care Office that includes a temperature check.

We know that these are challenging times for everyone, so we again encourage you to utilize other forms of communication such as phone calls, video chat, e-mail or social media to share with your loved ones. Activities will be attempting to assist you with this process. Please know that your health, wellbeing and safety are of upmost importance to Westminster Village. We will continue to make changes to procedures as advised by CMS and the Indiana State Department of Health, and update all Residents/Families and Staff of such. We encourage you to visit our website at wvmuncie.com, our Facebook page or call 765-288-2155 with any concerns or questions that you may have.
We wish you health and happiness!
